Living for Jesus Until He Returns by Pearl Nsiah-Kumi

About the Book

Jesus is coming back and soon! That knowledge should motivate all Christians to live with expectation and accountability in mind.

Are you a new Christian with a desire to grow in your faith? Are you a mature Christian looking for a way to encourage and mentor a new Christian? This book is a good resource for you. Living For Jesus Until He Returns is a compilation of articles that address the Christian walk, written in a format that is easy to read and understand. The articles cover the basics of Christian living like prayer, Bible reading, fellowship with other believers, the importance of obedience to what the Bible says and evangelism. Each article has supporting Scripture to aid the reader in the verification of the facts presented. An unbeliever is sure to benefit from this book as well, because the first few articles actually explain the way of salvation.

Book Excerpt

I am special to God, and you can be too! I don’t mean to be boastful—just stating a fact. Please allow me to explain. I have three proofs that God loves me! First, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in my place, before I ever understood that, like everyone else, I was a sinner, alienated from Him (see Romans 3:23). Second, He sent someone my way to make sure I heard and understood the gospel (see Romans 10:14), and thank God, I accepted His forgiveness. Third, He confirmed His love and forgiveness by calling me His child. The Scripture clearly puts it this way, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God” (1 John 3:1 NIV84)!

Book Excerpt

The Consequences of Ignorance-(page 47) Our inheritance is spelled out clearly in His Word-the Bible. However, when we neglect to read it, we miss out on our blessings and go through unnecessary defeat and frustrations. Scripture reminds us, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).”

goes on forever.

Everything comes to

an end sooner or later. This

applies to life itself; it comes to

an end whether we want it to or

not. Before life ends, there are

things many people would like

to have accomplished. Do you

have any wishes? How far or

how close are you from fulfilling them? Time could be running out

you know.

Excerpt from the Book

The Bible says God has no delight in the death of the sinner, and He proved that in at least four different ways. (page 37)

1-He sent His Son to pay the penalty of sin (Jn 3:16);
2-He put His word into writing, the Bible, and instructed Christians to take the message to the entire world (Rom 10:13-15a).
3- He has delayed His return to allow more time for people to get saved (2 Pet 3:9).
4- He is elated every time a sinner repents (Lk 15:10b).
